Trailing Tokens
If you could choose a moment where you could have significantly altered your life, or the family into which you were born, would you take it? Would you risk the possibility of altered genetic history, long-term health, different educational standards and altered intellectual capacity? Would you choose wealth but a near-guranteed possibility of an autoimmune disorder such as SLE; or a progressive neurological disorder like Alheimers disease? How far would you be willing to go? This is a recurring question In my case, probably, but then again, to what end? My father was fatally wounded during the commission of a robbery, and my mother followed him 11 years later. Indeed, I would have wanted to alter that timeline, if only to have my parents around for a little while longer. Then again, arises the question: death is inevitable, how much longer would their presence influence every decision ever taken after? Would their deaths have been any less unbearable? Maybe, maybe not, and...
