A tale of death

Image
in a moment all words were unsaid in a moment was all hope deflated  ripped apart at the seams by Hades  gone through epochs unseen, all gone in that moment, the future was lost in that moment birth meant nothing for the nadir of existence was verily not and the lush laughter signaled rot for that moment would they build rafters in caskets, for the comfort of the living an attic for which to the future to peek for all seems void, to a soul bereft

Fight another day

the cathedral louder than the hiss of Medusa's mane Olé! cantankerous fuckers steeped in skullduggery an ode recited of they drowning in jaggery for sap craved they like morning whey old sap each was or so thought they for of angelcraft spoke they, saw they of magic craft were they from they Olé! of bosoms crafted in softest clay and nipples sharp as from tips of hay the shadow did drink and eat today of milk the other drank all the way Olé! the whispers were louder than oceans' splash the thick dark whip did lash the gash the voices spoke with a tale to tell but not till the morn' was the toll of the bell for tales such as these, they bring no peace for waves will rise and will may be at peace lest music fails and the script is broken for now, for the moment, it will be a token

COVID-19

Image
Let's face it, this probably was a preventable contagion, that is, if humanity were cloistered in isolated gatherings like the Sentinalese.  Yet humanity needs to move around and interact: we are a global village as we are constantly reminded. Supprime tuum stultiloquium! Yeah, maybe, with time, of course. Still, here we are in the grip of a conatagion. Some have acted rationally, others have decided to be even more radical with their misguided beliefs. Funny how no race is superior in their averting this virus - eh racists? Moving on, as to whether it descended from a bat colony via the often macabre diets of the Chinese, or whether we're just batshit crazy, who knows. (Let us know if you do, seriously.) First, let's remember that this is a disease that seems to be spread by contact, airborne or otherwise, or as the lay hoi polloi are now learning, exposure. In the western world, there seems to be a free for all for toilet paper. It's almost like humanity in those p...

Fickle Humans

Image
Ok, here we go slipping and sliding headlong into the maeltrom of the most controversial yet enduring facets of humanity. A little apprehensive? Maybe. Well, why not; for nothing is beyond the realms of discussion, especially when it's so indelibly stitched into the human fabric. God made man in his own image, and Allah summoned Mohammed to haeven on a winged horse. There should be a mention of YWHW destroying humanity in a manner also described in the Epic of Gilgamesh. Thats a bit of a mouthful for a start. Where would social and scientific norms be without religion? Does religion dictate morality? The answer to this a vague "it depends." In Shitoism, a sexual orgasm is handled pretty much as a state of spirtual enlightenment. Try talking about sex in coservative Abrahamic faith circles and the disapproval will have you crossing over Mecca and Jerusalem and all the way to the most hedonistic clubs of Berlin. Should it be thus though? Humanity not only loves s...

Take Your Time

Image
Take your time. Maybe the most important three words in the English language, even greater than "I love you" in varying degrees of context. For if love something, or someone, you will take your time to build and savor it. You will invest your precious time in all that you love. So, for today, take your time. Create a work of art. But I'm Kenyan

Image
Mais Je suis Kenyan! No, not in that language, but that usually is the excuse for mediocrity in public service, infrastructure, well, in just about everything. Indeed, Kenya, much like most of the sub-Saharan African countries prioritize religious hegemony over common sense. Leaders - chosen by God. Poor infrastructure, deaths in ill-equipped hospitals, carnage on the roads due to a lack of observation of the highway code - God must be angry. Mais Je suis Kenyan! In 2017, we had entire communities coming out of their poverty-stricken cocoons to, essentially, grant one of the bourgeoisie a "birthday present." So to speak, they crawled on hungry bellies like termites to the nest, leaving a trail of pride and destruction that is only just evident in their tribal wake. Qu'ils mangent de la brioche! True, some highways are world class, and you can traverse much of the country without as much as tracking mud all the way to the fast forgotten hovels of "upcoun...

From the road

Hot as it has been, there's always a chance that you'll catch a snippet of something that's of aesthetic, and/or historical significance. The best sites are not yet photographed. The best views are yet to viewed thru a lens other than by that which is granted to us thru evolutionary development.
